NUS has recently launced its very first iOS application. With many more application in line check out this space for what are the new application launches for the convenience of all students, staff and visitors of NUS..

NUS IVLE Communities

The NUS IVLE Communities iOS app allows you to access IVLE communities on the go. With the app, you
can check urgent announcements, email community members, read and reply forum posts, view files in the workbin and access weblinks added by community members. You can also manage your community membership, or search and join communities that you are interested in.
You can do it all using your NUSNET user ID and password. Getting started is easy. Just download the app, establish the connection and you are on your way. Please let the IVLE team know about your experience using the IVLE Communities app.
This application is developed by Centre for Instructional Technology(CIT) NUS.

NUS Bulletin

With the NUS Bulletin app, you can now read brief synopses of each module offered at NUS while on the go. You can search the NUS Bulletin by keywords or module codes.
This app is free, and it can be used via WiFi and 3G.
Getting started is easy. Just download the app, establish a connection and you are on your way.
This application is developed by Centre for Instructional Technology(CIT) NUS.

Around NUS

Around NUS is an iPhone application to find out about National University of Singapore (NUS) - from what's iconic and what's exciting to what's yummy. This application also comes with detailed maps of NUS' Kent Ridge Campus, University Town, Bukit Timah Campus and Outram Campus, enabled to determine your current and other locations in NUS.

NUS mSurvey

NUS Survey App is written for Apple’s iPhone to record survey results and export them to your computer for further analysis.  It does not require Internet Connection while you are conducting the survey interviews.  The results will be stored on the iPhone until you connect it to your computer via iTunes to upload the results to your computer.  Further analysis can be done on the results in excel.

NUS Map

NUS Map helps you find the locations of various places in the National University of Singapore (NUS).
It covers Kent Ridge, Bukit Timah and Outram campuses. Some of the features of this application include finding a location via category browsing or search, useful telephone numbers and many more.

NUS IVLE

IVLE iPhone is NUS’ course management system running on an Apple’s iPhone. This app which is free for staff and students can be used via WiFi and 3G. The app makes interacting with IVLE easier by providing access to course modules, syllabus, allows to check urgent announcements, read assignments from the workbins, review a discussion forum post and see the latest student events from IVLE.
This application is developed by Centre for Instructional Technology(CIT) NUS.

NUS is offering various applications for your mobile phones for access through your mobile browser. You could access contact information, shuttle bus timings, announcements and campus news and many more all through your mobile device. Please refer below for a detailed list of applications offered. You may access the below listed applications by accessing m.nus.edu.sg/mweb via your mobile device (iphone, android etc).

NUS Interactive Spaces

NUS SDE has collaborated with computer centre to come up with a mobile application to gather feedback from students about selected locations around NUS. QR Codes have been setup at the selected locations and when students scan the codes through their mobile device which brings them to the mobile app to allow them to leave comments about the location. Click on to have a feel on how the app works!

Library

NUS Library goes mobile! Library catalogue(LINC) has a cool new mobile version. Simply visit the mobile iPortal from your mobile devices now!!

Undergraduate Student Timetable

Undergraduate students can now configure their mobile devices to sync their daily class timetables. Click on the following links for the respective device type to load your own class timetable now!

Exam Results Release

Students can now check their exam results through their mobile phones.

Staff Directory allows you to search for staff contact information. Search is based on keywords.

What’s happening in NUS? Look here. We have brought the NUS Calendar from our NUS website www.nus.edu.sg, and other RSS feeds like CORS Announcements and IT@NUS onto the iPhone. Each of the feeds shows a new event or announcement.

Computer centre mobile team has first started its mobile development using the J2ME technology. Currently, the following applications are offered on this platform.

NUS Mobile Directory

This mobile application accepts a keyword and searches the NUSnet Id or Staff Name in the NUS' contact directory, for the information:
- Staff Name
- Title
- Office Telephone number
- Email address
You can even highlight and dial the contact without keying numbers.

Note: This mobile application uses GPRS, 3G or WiFi networks. If you use your mobile data connectivity, mobile data charges by telcos apply.

Applications works on most Blackberry, Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Samsung and some Windows Mobile Phones.
